Intuition is the whisper of the soul.” –Jiddu Krishnamurti

My first instinct was to seek external guidance to lead me down this unknown path of Covid lockdown.

Working from home with five other people searching for computers, zoom links, and little nooks in the house to do work or school had me in quite a tizzy.

July 13th will be four months of some form of lockdown for our family, and what I have learned is that no one knows how to lead anyone down any path during these unpredictable times.

We are in an uncertain chapter where there are no simple answers or a clear direction. This gives us the chance to turn INWARDS where we can discover our own GPS system.

Turning inwards gives ourselves that quiet time where we can hear our soul whispers, giving us direction, and acting as our own Light House to guide us. We spend a lot of time in our heads, surrounded by distractions.

How many Netflix series have we binged on? How much chocolate have we eaten? How many wine bottles have we drank?

Personally, I am brilliant at unconsciously escaping, being easily distracted, and avoidance (especially during the time of online schooling for my youngest.)

I’d like to think we’re pretty good at rationalizing our decisions, but I did find myself feeling hungry to strengthen my inner voice. I want to make decisions that come from a place of abundance, not fear. I need to!

My pysche can not take on anymore and I bet yours can’t either.

We are all called to hone in on our intuition and it will come, I promise you that. We ALL have within us an inner wisdom that is there to guide us… gracefully, I might add. This divine intelligence that continuously guides us in realizing and actualizing our goals, gives us direction and whispers our next steps is within us all, and that intuitive guidance system gets louder the quieter we become.

So, how do we activate our intuition?

I have listed 6 steps to tune into your intuition and follow those internal nudges.

Steps to Follow to Tune Into Your Intuition:

1. Trust your gut – listen to your emotional intelligence guidance system. Our feelings and emotional reactions are often communicating to us how to approach or interact with any given situation.

2. Follow Energy Shifts – Notice how your body responds to your decisions. Have you experienced the feeling of weight being lifted off your shoulders immediately after making a long-awaited decision? Maybe you sensed a return to joy or energy, maybe all the inner chatter got real quiet and you experienced calm and peace. Check in and see how you feel.

3. Tune Into Your Body – If we are not willing to open ourselves to reoccurring thoughts, strong internal pulls, and persistent callings, our intuition will use physical signs to communicate that we are not living in integrity with the life we know we want and deserve. What are you experiencing in your body? And what is it trying to communicate to you? What, if any, repressed messages, urges, and needs are underlying the physical discomfort you may be experiencing in your life? Open yourself to positive, curious inquiry with the knowing that you intuitively hold the knowledge to be your own healer and transform your life.

4. Pay Attention To Synchronicities– As we dream, manifest, and shoot off rockets of desires through our thoughts and beliefs, the Universe supports us in turn by sending us the circumstances, people, opportunities and situations that will bring our advancement in life. Be present in your day-to-day activities so that you can see the meaningful patterns and coincidences when they occur.

5. Embrace The Opportunity To Be Quiet – In the spaciousness, you can dissolve the clutter of your fears, insecurities, doubts, and uncertainty to hear the deep, confident, clear knowing of your inner wisdom. You have the ability! Making it a regular practice to quiet the mind is a steadfast approach to deepening your connection with your intuition. As we dream, manifest and shoot off rockets of desires through our thoughts, beliefs and actions, the Universe, God, (the God of your understanding) supports you in turn by sending you the circumstances, people, opportunities and situations that will bring you to forward.

6. Do Your Shadow Work!!!– (For me this is a must, this is where one finds their blinders, vows, masks, ego.) In order for us to experience a clear, uninterrupted dialogue with our intuition, we must clear, touch, and heal the parts of ourselves we would rather pretend did not exist… the wounds that have us believing we are flawed, unlovable, undeserving people.

Shadow work can support you in embracing all aspects of yourself. This experience of self-acceptance is essential for you to love and trust yourself more, which puts you more in touch with your intuition. (look for future emails for further information on working with your Shadow)

I hope this helps you in some way. Learning to trust the wisdom you already have inside can absolutely change your life.
